'The Bear Who Stole the Chinook"

His assignment is a little tougher, as he's illustrating the "Bear Who Stole the Chinook," using the lyrics of Montana songwriter and performer Jack Gladstone. New Mexico artists Jeff Benham and John Bartlit are teaming to illustrate "Espun and Grandfather," as told by John Bear Mitchell, associate director of the Wabanaki Center at the University of Maine. Below are a few sketches of the grandfather character, which is a massive rock on top of a mountain.
